BETTAVARO BUYER GUIDE

How to Make an Offer on a Fish

Found a fish you like but want to propose a different price? Bettavaro’s offer feature lets you send a price proposal and a short message directly to the seller. Follow this guide to submit your offer and review the seller’s response.

  • Review the listing before making an offer
  • Propose the price you are prepared to pay
  • Include a short message for the seller
  • Review the seller’s response in My Offers

Prepare your proposal

Before You Make an Offer

Sign in to your Bettavaro account and review the complete listing before sending an offer. Check the fish details, seller information, displayed price, available discount and any shipping or receiving information provided for the listing.

Eligible sellers can accept, reject or send a counteroffer. Sending an offer does not complete a purchase or reserve the fish.

Detailed steps

Make and Track Your Offer

Step 1

Find a Fish You Are Interested In

Browse available listings and choose a fish that interests you. Review the displayed price and any available seller discount before opening the full listing. Offers are available only on eligible fixed-price or offer-format listings that are available and in stock.

Step 2

Open the Listing Details

Select “View Details” to open the full listing. Review the fish information, photographs, seller profile, displayed price, rating information, description and any available discount before deciding whether to make an offer.

Select View Details to open the listing
Step 3

Enter Your Offer Price

Go to the “Make an Offer” section and enter the price you would like the seller to consider. The field accepts a numeric amount greater than zero and the system rounds it to two decimal places in the listing currency.

Choose a Reasonable Offer

Base your offer on the listing information and the price you are genuinely prepared to pay. The current form does not impose a percentage minimum or maximum, but the seller is not required to accept.

Step 4

Write a Short Message to the Seller

The message is required. Write between 2 and 5,000 characters to briefly explain your offer or ask the seller to consider your proposed price. Keep it clear, polite and relevant to the listing.

Example

Hello, I’m interested in this fish. Would you consider my offer?

Add a short, relevant message
Step 5

Send Your Offer

Check the price and message, then select “Send Offer.” Bettavaro creates an open offer thread, notifies the seller and opens the new conversation. Only one open or checkout-ready offer is allowed per buyer and listing.

Offer Is Not an Order

Sending an offer is not the same as placing an order or completing payment. Do not proceed as though the fish has been purchased until the offer and purchase status are confirmed by Bettavaro.

Review the form, then select Send Offer
Step 6

Review the Seller’s Response

Open My Offers or the relevant offer thread to review messages and status. The seller can accept, reject or send a counteroffer. If accepted, Bettavaro shows a checkout action at the agreed price with a 24-hour checkout window.

You may reply with another price or message while the offer remains active. An accepted offer still requires cart, checkout and successful payment confirmation.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an account to make an offer?

Yes. Sign in to your Bettavaro account or create an account before submitting an offer.

Does every listing accept offers?

No. The offer form is available only for eligible, available listings with stock. Auction listings and your own listings do not accept offers through this form.

Can I offer any price?

Enter a numeric price greater than zero. Bettavaro rounds the amount to two decimal places and uses the listing currency. The current offer form does not enforce a percentage-based minimum or a maximum, but the seller is not required to accept.

Does sending an offer reserve the fish?

No. Sending an offer does not by itself reserve the fish or complete a purchase. Follow the status and next steps shown by Bettavaro.

Can the seller reject my offer?

Yes. The seller can accept, reject or respond with a counteroffer through the offer thread.

Can the seller send me a counteroffer?

Yes. Seller messages can include a counteroffer price. Review the latest price and conversation in the offer thread before responding.

Where can I check my offer status?

Open My Offers in your member account, then open the relevant offer thread to review its messages, status and available actions.

What happens if my offer is accepted?

Bettavaro creates a checkout-ready offer at the agreed price and a 24-hour checkout link. Continue through the offer checkout handoff, cart and standard checkout. Acceptance is not payment confirmation.

Can I cancel or edit an offer after sending it?

You cannot edit the original submission. While an offer is active, use the offer thread to send a new message or price, or use the available cancel action.

What should I do if I have a problem with an offer?

Contact Bettavaro support and include the relevant offer information without sharing your password or payment credentials. Email support@bettavaro.com or use the contact page.
