Standard Breeds of Ornamental Betta Fish in Thailand (Long Fin Single Tail)
A Long Fin Single Tail betta has fins longer than those of bettas normally found in nature. Its Caudal Fin is not less than two-thirds of its body length, and its form follows the characteristics of its type.
Type 3.1
Veil Tail
Body
The body is cylindrical and laterally compressed, complete in form, evenly long and slender, with fins of equal size on both sides.
Pectoral Fins
The fin rays are unbranched, long, slender, and straight, without bending or crossing, and have pointed tips.
Pelvic Fins
The fin rays are unbranched, long, slender, and straight, without bending or crossing, and have pointed tips.
Dorsal Fin
The fin is not notched. Its base begins around the middle of the body toward the Caudal Fin. Its form is taller than it is thick. When spread, it overlaps and touches the Caudal Fin. The fin rays are unbranched, which is a distinctive characteristic.
Anal Fin
The edge is smooth. The fin is long and slender, with a slight curve, without bending, and has a pointed tip. When spread, it forms the characteristic shape of the type. The fin rays are unbranched, which is a distinctive characteristic.
Caudal Fin
The Caudal Fin is not less than two-thirds of the body length and has a long, slender shape. Its rays branch equally into two, except that the uppermost first ray and lowermost last ray branch into no more than two rays (either one or two).
3.1.1 Brush Tail
The tip of the Caudal Fin is pointed.
3.1.2 Horse Tail
The tip of the Caudal Fin is rounded.
Note: A Horse Tail whose caudal-fin rays branch into more than two rays is not considered a principal Veil Tail type.



Type 3.2
Crowntail
Body
The body is cylindrical and laterally compressed, complete in form, evenly long and slender, with fins of equal size on both sides.
Pectoral Fins
The fins are straight, long, and slender, with pointed tips and no bending. Their edges are smooth or slightly serrated.
Pelvic Fins
The fins are straight, long, and slender, with pointed tips and no bending. Their edges are smooth or slightly serrated.
Dorsal Fin
The base begins around the middle of the body toward the tail. The fin is slightly taller than it is thick. When fully spread, its edge touches the first caudal-fin ray. The rays are serrated into spines, and the depth between the spine tips is not less than one-third of the Dorsal Fin length.
Anal Fin
The fin is serrated like spines. The depth between the spine tips is not less than one-third of the Anal Fin length.
Caudal Fin
The Caudal Fin is not less than two-thirds of the body length. It is serrated into crown-like spines, and the depth between the spine tips is not less than one-third of the Caudal Fin length.
3.2.1 Double Rays CT
The caudal-fin rays branch into two rays.
3.2.2 King CT
The tips of the caudal-fin rays branch into two rays and curve toward each other.
3.2.3 Double Double Rays CT
The caudal-fin rays branch into four rays.



Type 3.3
Halfmoon
Body
The body is cylindrical and laterally compressed, complete in form, evenly long and slender, with fins of equal size on both sides.
Pectoral Fins
The fins are straight, long, and slender, with pointed tips and smooth edges.
Pelvic Fins
The base of the Dorsal Fin begins around the middle of the body toward the tail. Its shape is rounded. The first Dorsal Fin ray should not be shorter than the ray described in the source, and the Dorsal Fin is slightly higher than the tip of the Caudal Fin.
Anal Fin
The edge is smooth. The fin is long and slender, with a slight curve, and is not bent.
Caudal Fin
The Caudal Fin is not less than two-thirds of the body length and is shaped like a semicircle or half moon. Its rays branch into no fewer than four rays. The Caudal Fin spreads to not less than 180 degrees. When flaring, the outermost upper and lower edges form angles like the letter “D”.
Note: When the Caudal Fin spreads to less than 180 degrees, it is called a Super Delta.

Type 3.4
Halfsun
Body
The body is cylindrical and laterally compressed, complete in form, evenly long and slender, with fins of equal size on both sides.
Pectoral Fins
The fins are straight, long, and slender, with pointed tips and no bending. Their edges are smooth or slightly serrated.

The base of the Dorsal Fin begins around the middle of the body toward the tail. The fin is slightly taller than it is thick. When fully spread, it touches the first caudal-fin ray. The edge is serrated into spines, and the depth between the spine tips is not less than one-quarter of the Dorsal Fin length.

The fin is serrated into spines. The depth between the spine tips is not less than one-quarter of the Anal Fin length.

Type 3.5
Dumbo Long Fin
A Dumbo Long Fin is a long-fin betta whose fin structure and body conform to its type, but whose Pectoral Fins, or ear fins, are exceptionally large—more than twice the normal size. This characteristic gives it the name “Dumbo Long Fin”.

Type 3.6
Giant Long Fin
A Giant Long Fin is a long-fin betta whose fin structure and body conform to its type, but whose size is larger than normal. Its body length, measured from the tip of the mouth to the base of the Caudal Fin, is more than 5 centimetres.
